Biography
Leoncio “Bobby” Laroco III grew up in a family of nurses and quickly developed a love of medicine. As a native to Orlando and a first-generation Filipino-American, he was one of the first in his family to attend college in the United States. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida in 2015, graduating with honors. He returned to UCF as an adjunct clinical instructor when he started graduate school, earning his Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2020. He became board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in October 2020.
Leoncio previously worked as a Cardiovascular Progressive Care RN at Advent Health Orlando and Osceola Regional Medical Center. He has extensive experience treating post-surgical patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), heart valve repair/replacement, cardiac stent placement, cartoid endarterectomy, pacemaker/AICD insertion, lung resection, and lung transplantation.
As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Leoncio began his career in Family Medicine before going on to serve as a mobile Primary Care Provider for residents in assisted-living communities. He re-kindled his love of Cardiology in 2025, when he came to work with Cardiovascular Interventions.
In his free time, Leoncio enjoys reading, admiring his collection of wristwatches, and yelling at his favorite sports teams. He resides in Orlando with his lovely wife and two chihuahuas.
