CVI patients have the convenience of outpatient services for diagnostic coronary and interventional peripheral procedures. Cardiac catheterization is the insertion of a long, thin, flexible tube (called a catheter) placed into a blood vessel in your arm, groin (upper thigh) or neck and threaded to your heart.
External Counter Pulsation (ECP) is a non-invasive, FDA approved, outpatient therapy for patients having persistent symptoms of chest pain due to blockages in the coronary arteries. ECP is done in those who have already had the standard treatments for revascularization or those who are not eligible for surgical intervention.
An increasing number of cardiac conditions are being treated with devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), biventricular pacemakers and biventricular ICDs. Implantable pacemakers and ICDs can be interrogated (interpreted and evaluated) either in our office or remotely, depending on your model.
Venous studies offered at CVI include a Venous Doppler or Venous Reflux study, which are used to determine the cause of long-standing leg swelling and pain. Venous studies aid in the diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis, malformations, and venous insufficiency.
