Biography
Katie’s interest in medicine began in high school while attending a medical magnet program. She was able to shadow numerous areas of medicine. After graduation, she went to the University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelors in Health Service administration. She decided she wanted to work in a more clinical setting and went to Seminole State College for her Associate of Science in Nursing.
In 2010, she began her career as a Registered Nurse at Advent Health. During her time in the hospital, she found her passion for cardiology while working on a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2011. While working at Advent Health, she decided she wanted more and went back to completed her Masters at the University of South Florida. She graduated in 2017 and became Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She began working in home health care.
In October of 2018, she started at Cardiovascular Interventions. She knew that Dr. Jamnadas’ passion for cardiology and teaching would be a great learning experience. Katie is dedicated to providing cutting edge cardiology with a focus on diet and lifestyle modifications while collaborating with Dr. Jamnadas. She is certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support through the American Heart Association.
Katie resides in Winter Park with her husband, daughter and dog. She loves spending her time with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach.
