Desry’s interest in the medical field started at a very young age and she has always been interested in the Cardiovascular system. A few years after graduating high school, she went to Valencia Community College where she earned her Associates of Science in Nursing. She was able to shadow numerous areas of medicine but never lost her interest in Cardiovascular.
In 2009, she began her career as a Registered Nurse on a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. She later transitioned to Cardiovascular ICU at Advent Health. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2015. While working at Advent Health, she decided she wanted more and went back to complete her Masters in Science in 2019. She graduated in 2021 and became a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
In July of 2023, she started at Cardiovascular Interventions. She knew that Dr. Jamnadas’ passion for cardiology and teaching would be a great learning experience. Desry is dedicated to providing cutting edge cardiology care with a focus on diet and lifestyle modifications while collaborating with Dr. Jamnadas. She is certified in Basic and Advanced Life Support through the American Heart Association. Desry looks forward daily to serving our Cardiovascular population here at Cardiovascular Interventions.
