CVI’s Response to COVID-19
During this unprecedented and uncertain time, our top priority is your overall health and safety. Patients with underlying health conditions are among the highest risk, so it is very important not neglect your cardiovascular health. Please take your medications as directed, refill your prescriptions, take your supplements, follow my anti-inflammatory diet, and keep your appointments for office visits and testing. Our team at CVI remains committed to your safety and well-being and continues to take all safety precautions. We are currently operating during our normal business hours 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. It is vital that we are available to take care of our patients and their medical needs. If you are an existing patient, telemedicine visits are available. If you are a new patient please give us a call at 407-894-4880 and one of our team members will be happy to assist you.
Here are some of the changes implemented for the health and safety of our patients and staff:
- Phone and Temperature screenings: Our scheduling staff are asking all patients a questionnaire before their appointments to determine if they have been exposed to the virus, any patients determined to have potential exposure will have their appointments moved two weeks into the future. In addition, we are checking the temperature of every patient at the sign in desk upon arrival.
- Office exam room expansion: To enhance patient safety, we have added six new exam rooms in order to avoid waiting room congestion.
- Telemedicine coverage: The end date of telemedicine coverage has been extended beyond May 31, 2020 due to the current Public Health Crisis. Click here to see CVI’s latest information about telemedicine. Do not hesitate to call our office for more information and an appointment.
- Copay waivers: Due to the financial burdens we are all facing, some insurance companies have waived this payment to ease the financial strain of the office visit, testing, or procedures. Click here to see information we have regarding the large insurers, but you should contact your individual plan administrator for further details regarding your plan.
