Biography
At a young age, Felicia was fascinated by medicine and the human spirit. From the NICU as a volunteer to the nursing home as a nursing assistant, her personal experiences have shown her medical care at various stages of life. Becoming a physician assistant was her goal because of the challenges it offers, the opportunity to interact with patients, and the pleasure of serving others.
Her interest in cardiology began well before PA school. She worked as a nursing assistant at both a nursing home and the hospital. At the hospital, she began to develop an interest in the heart throughout her time on the COVID unit. A physician, while in rounds, allowed her to listen to a patient’s heart with a mechanical valve. Felicia was fascinated and excited to listen to a heart for the first time. During PA school, she learned as much as she could about the heart throughout her studies in anatomy and clinical medicine courses. Her invaluable clinical experiences as a PA student allowed her to extend her love for people through medical care.
As soon as she started clinical rotations, she took as many opportunities to learn and felt herself gravitating towards the cardiology field. Felicia concluded her clinical rotations with interventional cardiology, where she got to learn from Dr. Jamnadas. She was inspired by Dr. Jamnadas’ dedication to his patients and emphasis on prevention. After a week of working in cardiology, she realized that is ultimately what she wanted to do.
Felicia graduated in December of 2023 and became a board certified physician assistant through NCCPA. In January of 2024, she started treating patients at Cardiovascular Interventions. She is thrilled to be part of the Cardiovascular Intervention Team and work alongside Dr. Jamnadas.
