Biography
Kirrin Emary originates from South Africa, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy at Rhodes University in 1997. After immigrating to America, she practiced in retail pharmacy for many years before upgrading her degree to a Doctorate through the University of Florida in 2009.
While she enjoyed the challenge of pharmacy school, real-life application of gained knowledge was rather unfulfilling. She wanted more interaction with patients and much less time spent behind a counter. This is why she chose to become a physician assistant. The profession offers a great medical knowledge base with guidance from esteemed doctors and plenty of patient-provider interaction. She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Florida International University-Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in 2017.
After a short stint in hospital, she moved to CVI where, under Dr Jamnadas’ mentorship, she has learned a treasure trove of cardiac clinical pearls that she uses daily to provide excellent care to her patients. She loves working with a dedicated and smart team of skilled providers, and cherishes watching many patients commit to a healthier lifestyle, lose weight, respond to therapy, and get better!
Outside of work, she loves to read, read, and read some more and losing herself in an author’s world of fact or fiction.
